巽屿村位于罗源湾南岸的岛屿上，属老区革命基点村。早年村民靠海为生，后因围海造地，许多人失去了海面与田地，生产一度受限[1]。

村名的来历：此地原为海岛，方位在八卦中属巽向，村因此得名[1]。

红军医院旧址[edit]

1934年红军攻克罗源城期间，红军总医院在这一带设立了分院，其旧址称「红军总医院罗源3所分院旧址」，据博雅地名网所载，它分布于巽屿、北山和外洋三村[1][2]。
