北山村坐落在罗源湾南侧的海滨，背山临海，渔业是村民的主要生计，村里既有荔枝林和樱花园，也有滩涂红树林与渔船码头[1][3]。

村名的来历与连江一带的地名有关：村地在马鼻之北，东边有座山称王丙山，又名北山，村因此得名[1]。

荣誉与产业[edit]

2021年9月，北山村入选「第二批全国乡村治理示范村」名单；同年11月，村庄获省级爱卫部门授予「2021年福建省卫生村」一项；2022年9月，经省农业农村厅推荐，北山村获「2022年福建省美丽休闲乡村」称号[1][2]。

2025年11月，北山村列入「福建省第二批省级乡村振兴示范村」名单[2]。村内的牡蛎（海蛎）养殖使其先后被列为「福州市2023年市级“一村一品”专业村」（2023年12月，主导产业为牡蛎）和「2024年度福建省“一村一品”专业村」（2024年11月）[1][2]。

北山湾红树林景区位于村子西北面，据罗源县政府网站2023年的介绍，景区约一万余亩，其中红树林约1500亩，栈道可通入海边的林中[3]。村子南北两侧分布着古荔枝林、鱼田共养农田与樱花园，樱花园约占六百余亩，品种二十余种，园中一座水库环绕着八十多亩水面[3]。
