南门外村是凤山镇下辖的行政村，位于莲花山公园脚下，因在城南门外而得名。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村子原名南门，因和南门居委会重名，1981年改为南门外。[1]
1950年设立南门外乡，1958年改为南门外大队，1984年改称村委会，属凤山镇。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
村辖区内有圣水寺等处所。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2020年6月入列罗源县第四轮第一批（2019年）「平安村（社区）」名单；南门外村于2021年11月获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号，授予方为福建省爱卫办；2022年10月，获认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
