地理环境[edit]
村边有一条大溪，即际里溪，溪边的际里山高林密。村子左后山上是观音岩。[2][3]
历史沿革[edit]
村名由「管半」音转而来：旧时此地一半归西隅里笃行铺管辖，俗称「管半」，后读作管柄。[1]
1950年设南门外乡，1952年属六区；1958年改属城关公社南门外大队，1961年称管柄大队，1984年改称村委会，属凤山镇。[1]
1958年12月，县城郊的下林山一带发现新石器时代文化遗址，采集到石镞、石锛等遗物二十多件。[4]
荣誉[edit]
2021年8月入列罗源县第四轮第二批（2020年）「平安村（社区）」名单；管柄村于2021年11月获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号，授予方为福建省爱卫办；2022年10月，获认定为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2023年12月，被命名为「2023年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]
