樟后村位于连江县西北部，东北面与罗源县的霍口畲族乡接壤，距县城47公里，隶属小沧畲族乡。村址海拔465米，附近最高峰约870米。[1]

村名的来历是早年村边樟树成林，居民多住在林后，故名。全村分为5个自然村。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年设樟后大队，归潘渡公社；1960年改隶小沧人民公社；1984年设樟后村委会。[2]

该村为省定老区村，也是生态公益林保护村。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村境早晚温差较大，全年平均气温约21℃。村内森林面积大，其中有黄毛竹林；耕地适宜种植水稻、玉米、地瓜、蔬菜和油茶等作物。[1]
