小沧村属连江县的小沧畲族乡，村址位于乡新址中部，离乡政府约1华里。村名出自流经村旁的溪流：溪面宽阔、多滩涂，村落虽小却有沧海之称。[1][2]

村内原有店头、刘厝里两个自然村，1990年因山仔水库建设，二者全部迁入乡新址，此后归小沧村管辖。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村民委员会设立于1984年，村址于1993年迁到现在的位置。[3]

2021年11月，该村被福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号；2022年10月，省农业农村厅把它列为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2023年2月，又入选「福建省第三批高级版绿盈乡村」。[1]

地理环境[edit]

水库建成后，全村的园地只余20亩，另有禁地5945亩，其中黄毛竹约占1334亩，竹木是村民谋生的主要依托。[2]
