首占村位于蓼沿乡下半区，是一个老区村。村名原为周氏先祖最早迁入时所定的“周店”，后以谐音改称首占。[1]

全村413户、1503人，辖4个自然村和16个村民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清代顺治年间即有村民来此安家。首占大队1958年归蓼沿公社设立，首占村委会1984年成立。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年12月，首占村被命名为「2021年度福建省森林村庄」。[1]
