梅洋村隶属江南镇，位于县城西南方，依山傍溪而建。博雅地名网载，村内森林覆盖率为92.7%。[1]

地名由来[edit]

相传明末清初，刘氏先祖迁居于此，当时一带原野遍植梅花，村因此得名梅洋。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

明末清初刘氏先祖迁居此地。1984年设立梅洋村委会，此前隶属敖江镇。1997年以后划入江南乡。[1]

村落与古迹[edit]

沿溪有明清时期的古建筑，墙面以石块砌成，屋舍结构保持原样。村中仍有数十株树龄超过百年的梅树。[1]

荣誉称号[edit]

2017年11月，梅洋村获中央文明委授予的第五届全国文明村镇称号。[1]

2019年12月，梅洋村被列入第一批国家森林乡村。[1]

2020年11月，梅洋村入选2020年福建省「金牌旅游村」名单。同月，梅洋村入选首届「福州十大魅力乡村」。[1]

福建省第一批高级版绿盈乡村名单于2020年12月公布，梅洋村位列其中。[1]

梅洋村于2021年1月入选福州市乡村振兴中高级版试点村名单。[1]

第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇中，有梅洋村，认定时间为2022年10月。[1]
