东雁村位于敖江中上游东岸，属连江县潘渡镇。该村早先叫东岸，因「雁」与「岸」在方言中同音，改称东雁。该村1958年归入潘渡公社东岸大队，1984年成立东岸村委会，1987年更名东雁。[1]

人口与生态[edit]

村中有畲族聚居，畲族居民分布在上白岩、下白岩两个自然村。[1] 林地中大片公有林被划为省级生态保护区，林区覆盖比例高。[1]
