坑园镇是福建省福州市连江县下辖的镇，位于县境东部沿海的黄岐半岛西北部，北临罗源湾，镇域处在连江可门经济开发区之内。全镇辖8个行政村，2019年末户籍人口24770人。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

坑园之名，据博雅地名网所载，源于境内多坑沟、村民后将其开垦为田园；其地形状如筛，数百年前曾称筛园，后改称坑园。[3]

唐代这里归五贤乡集政里管辖；宋朝至清朝则称集政下里。民国初年划入第七区。1935年编查保甲时设坑园、象纬两个联保，1940年两者合并为象坑乡，1944年并入厦宫乡，同年改名象厦乡。[5]

新中国成立后，该地先后归第七区、第八区管辖，1956年起隶黄岐区。1958年7月撤区，随即设坑园乡，并于同年9月组建人民公社；1984年6月由社改乡。1993年9月，东北部9个村另设下宫乡；2000年7月，撤乡建镇。[1][5]

坑园镇位于连江县东部沿海，处黄岐半岛西北部，北面濒临罗源湾。东面与下宫镇、安凯乡相接，南面连着筱埕镇，西面则与官坂、浦口两镇比邻。[1][3]
