人口与姓氏[edit]
村中世居邱氏。博雅地名网记载，开基祖原自福建古田迁来，传至第三十二世，后代约4300人（包括外迁）。[2]
历史人物[edit]
明永乐九年（1411年），邱钿中应天府进士，后任赣县丞。[2]
清同治元年（1862年），邱烽中进士，后任内阁中书，并出任广西庆远知府。清代村中考取贡生的有30余名。[2]
建筑景观[edit]
邱氏宗祠建于清康熙年间，格局完整，有书院、钟鼓楼与拜台等。祠堂前铺有水泥埕，面积500多平方米。[2]
村后有一条十八曲岭，为村民上山的必经之路，沿岭有百余年的榕树与数十年的相思树。[2]
物产[edit]
村民传统以讨小海谋生，滩涂上养殖蚶、蛤、跳鱼、虾等，海中养殖紫菜、海带、牡蛎，近年也发展了种植业。[2]
