东山村位于丹阳镇以北，辖6个自然村。[2]

村名取自村民建居于大山东麓之意。[4]

历史沿革[edit]

东山一带清代属中鹄里。1940年（民国二十九年）归丹阳镇，1949年8月14日解放后划入第五区，1955年改属丹阳区，1958年起称东山行政村。[3]

名胜古迹[edit]

陈氏宗祠于1930年重建，占地300多平方米。[2]

村中另有东丰境、竹溪境和东禅境三处，分别始建于1810年、1800年和1890年，东禅境于1958年大规模重修。[2]

荣誉[edit]

福建省爱卫办于2021年11月把东山村命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
