岩下村位于东湖镇偏北的山区，沈海高速公路横穿村境。[1]

2020年2月，岩下村列入福建省第三批省级传统村落名单；2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名其为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]

地名由来[edit]

先祖王氏来此，在山脚搭草屋居住，养田鸭取蛋；村内岩石较多，村名因此为岩下。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子始建于元朝。1965年此地为丹阳公社的岩下大队，1976年改由东湖镇管辖，1984年成立岩下村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村里以仙人掌产业为依托，把种植养殖、加工研发、文创营销与乡村旅游连成一体，形成三产融合的示范点；留耕堂、举人厝等古民居也在开发之列。[2]
