西庄村位于东湖镇下半区，是镇内的革命老区基点村之一。[2]

地名由来[edit]

早年有富户在大山西麓修筑庄园，村子因此得名西庄。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后，村子设为西庄大队，归东湖公社管辖；1984年起改称西庄村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

村民以农业为主，也有人进城务工；村里出产的西庄草莓是镇内的基础品牌之一。[1][2]
