晓兴社区是晓澳镇的一个社区，北面与百胜村接壤，南面与晓江社区相邻。社区名称取“晓澳镇兴旺发达”之意。社区的前身是1960年代设立的晓兴大队，1984年改为社区建制。[1][3]

历史沿革[edit]

1960年代初，晓澳划分为晓兴、晓江、晓锋三个大队，晓兴大队为其一。1984年，改为社区建制，此后称晓兴社区。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

社区濒临台湾海峡西岸，所在地是闽江和敖江的会合处。辖区面积9.2平方千米。距陆地约4.6千米有目屿岛，面积约0.138平方千米。[1][2][3]

人口与经济[edit]

社区有常住人口5862人，下设19个居民小组。耕地合计1562.17亩，其中水田97.58亩，余下为旱地，面积1464.59亩。浅海滩涂上养殖的品种，面积从大到小依次为花蛤1200亩、紫菜600亩，另有缢蛏200亩、贻贝150亩与海带100亩。[1][2]

2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名晓兴社区为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[2]
