长门村位于琯头镇东侧，东临官岐村，西接门边村，北与拱屿、东边两村相邻，南靠闽江，201省道从村南侧穿过。村中的长门炮台是福建省文物保护单位。[1][2][5]

地名[edit]

村原地名桃源境，三面环山、一面靠海，后改称长门村。[3]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年设长门大队，1984年此地成为长门村委会。[4]

名胜古迹[edit]

长门炮台位于村内电光山上，明崇祯五年（1632年）始建，清朝时屡经重建，据称是中国现存最古老、规模最大的炮台。[5][6]

1884年中法马江海战中，炮台的炮火曾打中法国军舰拉加利桑尼亚号。抗战期间，日军侵占炮台，将火炮运往他处，此后炮台被炸毁。[5]

1991年，炮台列入第三批福建省文物保护单位。[5]
