蝉步村是东岱镇下辖的行政村，村子在敖江南岸、临近入海口，距县城11公里，201省道从村子中间穿过。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

村名的来历是当地蝉类活动频繁，故称蝉步。[1][3]

1958年起归浦口公社，1964年成立蝉步大队，1984年改为村委会。[1][3]

村子下辖8个自然村，分别为蝉步、塔下、里浦、外浦、龙湾、上际、里亭和南山，另有两个三峡移民点。[3][2]

全村耕地约1970亩。[2]

人口[edit]

全村共1687户、6038人。[1][2]

经济[edit]

村民中近三分之一从事建筑业和其他第三产业，产业遍布全国主要城市。[2]

2023年12月，蝉步村被认定为福州市2023年市级「一村一品」专业村，主导产业为山桐子。[1]

荣誉[edit]

村子先后获得二十多个县级以上先进集体称号，其中有「省委先进基层党总支」「市卫生村」「民主法制村」等。[2]
