村前有一条大溪，溪畔有山，山形如同一幅荧幕，村名由此而来。[1]
该村古时称幕浦堡。[2]
1958年设幕浦村管理区，村委会则于1984年设置。[1]
交通与人口[edit]
省道东苔线从村北穿过，温福铁路贯穿村境，距沈海高速公路出口约3公里。[1]
全村现有2015户，人口7092人（未注统计年份），设49个村民小组，党员130人，党总支下设东、南、西、北四个党支部。[1][2]
