敖江镇是福建省福州市连江县下辖的镇，位于敖江北岸，地处连江县城近郊结合部，镇政府驻白沙社区。全镇辖4个社区、13个行政村，镇域面积44.74平方千米。[1][2][3][4][6]

温福铁路穿境而过，敖江路、温泉路等道路也经过镇域。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

旧制时期，敖江北岸各里归宁善乡与太平乡管辖，即钦平、光临、清河等里；南岸的新安、安庆两里则属永福乡。[5]

民国初年，本地划为第一区。1935年，这里设敖江、荷山、镜路三个联保；1940年，联保改编为三个乡，镜路更名镜山，荷山成为县示范乡。[5]

新中国成立后最初仍为第一区；1956年4月，改称敖江区。[5]

1958年7月，原敖江区撤销，改设敖江乡，当年9月转为人民公社。[5]

1984年6月重新撤社设乡，直到1993年3月才改为镇的建制。1997年8月，以敖江为界，把14个村划出另设江南乡；镇政府迁往白沙村。2006年，白沙村委会改为居委会。[5][3]

百度百科载敖江镇截至2019年末户籍人口40710人。[1]

连江县人民政府网刊载的乡镇简介（发布于2025年4月）称全镇总人口4.9万人，博雅地名网则作约5.94万人。三者的统计口径和年份各不相同，此处并列备查。[2][3]

荣誉称号[edit]

环境保护部于2014年9月，把2012至2013年度国家级生态乡镇的称号授予敖江镇。[3]

镇政府网站列有「全国经济千强镇」「全国文明先进镇」「福建省文明乡镇」「福建省卫生乡镇」「福建省园林式乡镇」等荣誉称号，未注授予年份。[2]
