武竹村位于福建省福州市闽侯县，博雅地名网载其隶属江洋农场。村名先称「武肃」，后改称武竹。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村名先前称作「武肃」，取自先王的谥号。据博雅地名网所载，因开闽三王之一的部吏后人迁居此地，为纪念先王而定。后来结合当地竹子这一特产，改称武竹。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村地始于宋元明时的怀安县，清雍正十二年（1734年）归侯官县大湖分县。解放后属闽侯第九区箬洋乡，1954年改属江洋乡；1959年随农场设立，同年设武竹管理区，1975年改称武竹大队，1984年设武竹村民委员会。[1]

2021年11月，武竹村获福建省爱卫办命名为「2021年福建省卫生村」。[1]
