尾桥村位于福建省福州市闽侯县廷坪乡境内，村域溪流较多，村名与建桥通行的历史有关。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村域水源充足、溪流众多，古时却没有桥梁可通，先民开辟道路、建起桥梁，才得以往来贯通。福州方言中“没”与“尾”音近，村名因而写作尾桥。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村庄原属乡，公社化时设尾桥管理区，1969年成立尾桥大队，之后先后分出两个大队，1984年设立尾桥村村民委员会。[1]
