地名由来[edit]
村落所在处于火山碎屑岩风化形成的岩土区，土质紧实，但地面宽阔平坦，因此称作石洋。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村庄原属石洋乡，公社化时设石洋管理区，1969年成立大队，1984年设立石洋村村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月，石洋村被确定为「福建省第二批高级版绿盈乡村（乡镇）」。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
坑坪自然村的石洋坑坪桥建于清乾隆十三年（1748年），为东北至西南走向的单孔木拱廊桥，廊屋面阔九间，是闽侯县存世不多的木拱廊桥之一。[2][3]
