廷坪村位于福建省福州市闽侯县北部，是廷坪乡政府的驻地，博雅地名网将其归为乡中心区。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名来自此地的地位。清朝以前这里已是全乡文化、政治与经济交流的中心，又是当地官署所在，因而称作“廷坪”。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

廷坪一带历史悠久，古属侯官县，宋代属怀安县同乐西乡兴城里，元明时复属侯官县；清雍正十三年（1735年）起划归大湖分县管辖。[1]

公社化时期设廷坪管理区，1969年成立大队，1984年设立廷坪村村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

廷坪村于2021年11月获「2021年福建省卫生村」称号，命名单位是福建省爱卫办。[1]
