廷坪乡是福建省福州市闽侯县北部山区的一个乡，乡境东边与罗源县相接，西边紧邻闽清县，北边与古田县毗连，南面连着大湖乡，西南则与洋里乡相通。全乡面积217平方千米，乡政府驻廷坪村。[1][2]

县政府网站称该乡为闽侯县的北大门。乡内以水稻种植为主，林木资源较多，境内的木拱廊桥和古亭是其主要的文物古迹。[1][3]

地名由来[edit]

闽侯县人民政府网站2026年10月刊载的地名介绍说，此地古时山间野藤遍地、坪地平缓，故称藤坪，后因同音改写为“廷坪”。[4] 博雅地名网则说，“藤”字笔画繁多，于是改写为“廷”。[3] 两说不同，以政府网站所载为准。

历史沿革[edit]

解放前此地称第六区东汶乡，解放初与大湖、洋里合为第九区，1952年改称第十六区。博雅地名网另记1956年春三乡合并为雪峰村。[3]

据百度百科，1958年5月雪峰区被拆分，廷坪、大湖、洋里三地各成一乡；公社名称于同年8月确定，乡制则在1984年7月才取代公社。[2] 两处所记的年代不同，两说并存。

地理环境[edit]

乡地处闽侯县北部山区，福古公路穿境而过。[3] 按百度百科所载，乡属中亚热带温热湿润气候。[2]

人口[edit]

闽侯县人民政府网站公布乡内有9552户、3.1810万人，未注明统计年份。[1] 百度百科所引为2019年末户籍人口36526人。[2] 两组数字相差较大，两说并存。

农业以水稻为主，盛产林木。[3]

闽侯县人民政府网站所列乡辖村委会为23个，博雅地名网与维基百科则列为25个行政村。[1][3][5]

名胜古迹[edit]

塘里村的廷坪塘里桥建于1951年，为单孔木拱廊桥，全长28.8米，是通往大湖的交通要道。[6] 蕉溪村的廷坪蕉溪桥建于民国十九年（1930年），1951年重修，全长27.3米。[7]

后溪村的廷坪泰山桥于民国二十二年（1933年）重建，全长27.9米，桥西头有泰山庙。[8][9] 石洋村坑坪自然村的石洋坑坪桥建于清乾隆十三年（1748年），全长26.1米，宽6.38米。[10][11]

流源村东南约1千米处为龙津桥，始建于宋代，明崇祯四年（1631年）改建为木拱廊屋桥。[12] 龙津桥与坑坪桥等一并于2013年公布为第八批福建省文物保护单位。[14]

池坑村上湾与横洋自然村交界处的池坑溪岭亭，面阔三间，歇山顶，内供玄天上帝，2013年公布为省级文物保护单位。[13]

博雅地名网另称，境内有男女大王寨和唐代兴国寺遗址，但未附详细资料。[3]
