东墘村是大湖乡下辖的行政村，位于乡东南部，下辖东墘本村以及后园里、后山、左白、四围、泮山（墓后）共六个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年设东墘大队，1984年由大队改为村。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村庄东侧与坂头村交界，西面与新塘、大湖两村相连，南边同江洋武竹村接壤，北面挨着茶坪村。耕地2301亩，山地17082亩，全村面积24494亩。[1]
