埕头村是福建省福州市闽侯县鸿尾乡西部的行政村，地处闽江南岸，毗邻闽清县，316国道与京福高速公路穿村而过。据百度百科，村名源自福州方言中的“橄榄埕头”，因盛产橄榄而得名。[1][3]

地理环境[edit]

村庄东面、西面和南面分别与南下村、青马村、古洋村接壤，乡中心约7千米。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

清代属穆源区，后归鸿尾乡。1958年设大队，1984年改为埕头村民委员会，村庄前身为埕头乡。[1][3]

文化[edit]

村中有凤山寺，村内还设有一座水电站。[2]

马洋寺纪年碑为宋代石刻，列入第四次全国文物普查新发现的未定级不可移动文物，位于马洋寺前埕处。[4]

经济[edit]

村民收入以农业为主，工艺品加工为辅。农业上种植单季水稻，并种植橄榄、龙眼，其中橄榄种植面积较大。从上世纪90年代起，村里为解决农村剩余劳动力，陆续开办工艺品加工企业。[1][2]
