1961年设岩石大队，1984年后改设岩石村民委员会，名称沿用至今。[1]
文物[edit]
岩石白马尊王神龛为明代遗存，列入第四次全国文物普查新发现的未定级不可移动文物，位于大限自然村一带。[2]
