鸿尾乡是福建省福州市闽侯县西部的乡，地处半山区，东与竹岐乡相邻，西与闽清县接壤，北隔闽江与白沙镇相望。乡域面积约157平方千米，辖20个行政村，距福州市中心约37千米、距闽侯县城约15千米。[1][2]
乡内以工艺品加工和橄榄种植为两大产业，有“竹编”工艺的传统。穆源溪自乡境穿过，沿溪与沿闽江两岸共同构成村落的分布。[1]
地理环境[edit]
穆源溪长约23.5千米，全乡14个村分布在溪的两侧，另有6个村沿闽江分布。316国道由东向西横贯乡境，114县道由南向北穿过，福银高速公路在此设有鸿尾出口，交通较为便利。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
据博雅地名网，流经乡境的溪流中曾经出产鼋，溪两岸的几个村落合称“鼋里”。唐末王穆源随王审知入闽后在此定居，乡人遂将“鼋里”改称“穆源”，外乡人也称之为“穆源里”。传说先祖由福州凤坂迁来，地形似凤，以凤坂为凤头、驻地为凤尾，方言谐音之后成为今名。[2][3]
宋时此地分属侯官县永安乡及石门乡，元明时仍属两乡的若干都。清末称穆源区，民国时一度改为穆源乡。[3]
1952年5月设第十五区，驻鸿尾村；1955年7月改称鸿尾区，自此沿用“鸿尾”之名。1956年春，鸿尾与白沙、甘蔗、荆溪、竹岐合为白沙区。1958年9月自白沙区划出，设立鸿尾乡公社；1984年7月公社体制结束，改为乡建制。[3][4]
经济[edit]
工艺品加工是乡里的主要产业。据闽侯县人民政府网站，全乡有35家规模以上企业，其中30家为工艺品企业，从业人员约1.7万人。该业自上世纪50年代起步，如今在全省竹编行业居于中心地位，也是出口换汇的重要产地，2020年工艺品产值达50亿元。[1]
橄榄是重要的经济作物。2020年全乡种植橄榄约1.7万亩，年产量约1.2万吨，主要分布在沿江的6个村，其中「灵峰1号」「灵峰2号」两个品种较受欢迎。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
古洋遗址位于古洋村北面的闽江下游南岸，是县级文物保护单位，据百度百科，遗址占地约3万平方米。[5]
溪源寨位于溪源村，清咸丰三年（1853年）建成，坐西南朝东北，占地六千平方米余。建筑前后三进，依次有门楼、天井、前座、主座等，周围筑有寨墙。[2]
据博雅地名网，南山极乐寺的建寺年代可溯至宋代；1853年（清咸丰三年）曾重建，1936年（民国二十七年）再度修缮。大殿为悬山顶，面阔五间。[2]
境内另有龙泉新石器文化遗址和商代墓葬群，据博雅地名网所载。[2]
荣誉[edit]
鸿尾乡于2020年12月获福建省爱卫办命名，称号为「福建省卫生乡镇」。[2]
2024年2月，鸿尾乡列入「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」的创建对象。[2]
