光明村位于福建省福州市闽侯县荆溪镇，南临闽江，北靠大嘉山峰下，原名「中房」，土改后改名光明。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子原称「中房」，先祖由河南迁入，其中一房迁至此地，故称「中房」。土改后改名「光明村民委员会」，1984年设立村委会。[1]

地理环境[edit]

村子交通便利，外福线铁路与甘洪路横穿村境，村子离杜坞火车站3公里。村中有560亩的中房湖，是淡水鱼养殖基地。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

李纲墓在大嘉山南麓，为南宋抗金名臣李纲的墓，始建于绍兴十年（1140年）。1961年公布为福建省第一批省级文物保护单位，百度百科与维基百科记为1961年5月，博雅地名网记为3月。[3][4]

村中有宋代始建的法云寺。[2]

村中有地下温泉，井口水温达70℃。村集体入股的温泉公司设在甘洪路边。[2]
