厚屿社区位于福建省福州市闽侯县荆溪镇，地处福州西郊，2006年由厚屿村委会改设为社区。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1961年组建大队，1984年有了厚屿村委会，2006年依县政府批复，改设为荆溪镇厚屿社区居委会。[1]
地理环境[edit]
社区离福州市中心约9公里，离闽侯县城约12公里，全境含三个自然村，共535户，博雅地名网未注统计年份。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
社区内有厚屿境和蔡十九尊王庙。据博雅地名网，蔡十九尊王庙所祭的是闽越王后裔，庙宇经历兴废，清咸丰四年邑中人士募捐另建大庙。[1][2]
经济[edit]
传统的脱胎漆器是社区的主导产业，相关工艺品在社区经济中占重要地位。[2]
