地名由来[edit]
村旧称石门街，因村中有一条石板铺成的街道，街两旁房屋的大门都以长石条砌成。1958年人民公社化时改为联心村，名称取自原来的两个屯联合为一。[1][3]
历史沿革[edit]
1984年成立村民委员会，此名沿用至今。[1]
据村中的说法，约500年前张姓从南通镇迁入，张姓今为村中主姓。[3]
名胜古迹[edit]
沙堤大桥桥头有一棵树龄约500年的桑科榕树，据说为张姓先祖所植；1996年，闽侯县人民政府将其列为福建古树古木。[3]
