厚美村位于闽江南岸，是上街镇下辖的行政村，村址在江中淤积形成的沙洲上。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名原作厚尾。博雅地名网称，因村落所在的沙洲土壤深厚肥沃，江边景色又好，遂改名厚美。[1]

百度百科则载，此地古称洪洲，清光绪年间改为现名，与方言谐音有关。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

唐武德六年（623年）起，此地属侯官县辖境。[2]

1984年设立厚美村村民委员会，此后一直沿用。[1]

文化[edit]

2021年2月，本村入选福建省2018至2020年度省级文明村镇社区名单。福建省农业农村厅于2022年10月认定本村为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」；2024年2月，本村成为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」的创建对象。[1]

2021年和2022年，本村两次被列入淘宝村名单。[1]
