方庄村是南通镇的行政村，位于大樟溪东侧，距镇政府约2公里，南港大桥横穿村子。村内产业以工艺品制造和龙舟制作为主。[1][2]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

村民以方姓为主，故名方庄。[3]

此地原属罗洲村，为便于管理，1984年设立方庄村民委员会。[4]

经济[edit]

2001年设立方庄村工业区，此后规模逐步扩大，村内有上规模企业，以工艺品出口为主。[2]

村子是龙舟制造的发源地之一，所造龙舟销往各地。2024年，南通镇政府工作报告提到方庄村的龙舟运动品牌。[2][5]

名胜古迹[edit]

方公祠于2005年被列为县级文化古迹，祠内藏书五千余册，供村民阅读。[2]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，本村获「2023年福建省卫生村」的命名。[1]
