地名与历史沿革[edit]
村子位于瓜峰山脚下，故名瓜山。[3]
民主革命时期，南阳山一带曾是地下党的活动根据地。1984年设立瓜山村民委员会。[1][2]
名胜古迹[edit]
村内方山古寺遗址的历史可以追溯到唐代以前，与之相对的是明代陈友定的练兵场遗址；村中现存三座明代木结构旧居。[2]
村内的瓜山太保庙留有林森、萨镇冰的题词。[2]
民俗[edit]
戊子年普渡是瓜山的民俗活动，始于清康熙年间，每六十年举办一次，2008年已举办至第六届。[2]
经济[edit]
村民以农业为主，蔬菜种植是主要产业，村内设有闽侯县蔬菜育种示范基地。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2021年11月，福建省爱卫办将瓜山村命名为“2021年福建省卫生村”。[1]
