廷宅村是南通镇的行政村，位于镇政府东侧约1.5公里处，是革命老区基点村，也是革命烈士张章淦的家乡。村境内有方山水库，水流穿村而过。[1][2]

地名与历史沿革[edit]

村名取“朝廷”之“廷”与“田宅”之“宅”，寄意国家能让百姓安居乐业。[3]

宋代此地属怀安县积德乡恭顺里，元明时属积德乡十一都，清代属侯官县积德乡四十七都，清末归仙坂区。民国时期属文泽乡。1958年5月，此地划归南通乡下的泽洋管区，同年9月改称廷宅大队；1984年设立廷宅村民委员会。[4]

自然环境[edit]

方山水库的水流从村中心穿过，以河为界，村分为廷前、廷后两个自然村。[2]

名胜古迹[edit]

村内现存明末建筑物“凤溪禅寺”。[2]

人物[edit]

张章淦（1921—1948）是革命烈士，1944年投身革命，其后加入中国共产党，并在中共福州市委南区区委担任干事。[5]

荣誉[edit]

村里是地下党南通支部的所在地。福建省农业农村厅于2022年10月认定其为「第二批福建省乡村治理示范村镇」。[1]
