1958年人民公社化时隶属沪屿大队；1989年，农光村村民委员会独立组建。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

紫台庵战斗旧址位于农光村。1936年1月的一个夜间，闽中游击队包围了驻有民团和保安队的紫台庵。[2]
