据博雅地名网，村子地处镇中心的偏远处，先人取“福泽后世子孙”之意，故名后福。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
后福村的村民委员会成立于1984年。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2025年3月，本村被认定为「福建省第一批省级乡村振兴示范村」。2021年1月，本村获得「福州市乡村振兴中高级版试点村」的评定。[1]
