东升村位于尚干镇东部，是镇辖的11个村委会之一。[1]

村落在尚干镇东面约半公里处，东与过浦村相接，西接后村，南面通陶江。[2]

地名由来[edit]

村名“东升”，据博雅地名网所载，因村落位于尚干镇东部，寓意旭日东升。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

村落原名“四石村”，据说得名于当时村民在一块四石田内建房。据博雅地名网，此地建置可追溯到唐开元十三年（725年），1913年划归闽侯县，属七里中的永庆里。[2]

1983年成立尚干镇后，村名改定为东升，1984年设立东升村村民委员会。[3]
