尚干社区是尚干镇的两个社区之一，位于镇中心街一带。[1][2]

社区处在尚干集镇中心，东边接324国道，北边临316国道，靠近淘江。社区居民分散住在镇内十二个村落之间，社区工作因此格外重视计划生育、社会保障和低保、残疾证等事务的办理。[2][3]

地名由来[edit]

地名“尚干”出自宋代林氏十三世若云所任的官职。据博雅地名网所载，人们以官名为地名，将原来的名称改为尚干。[2]

历史沿革[edit]

社区于2003年设立尚干社区居民委员会，此后一直沿用这一名称。[2]
