地名由来[edit]
社区背靠太平山，太平山是旗山山脉南部的一座山峰，社区因而得名南旗。[1][2]
历史沿革[edit]
人民公社时期此地称南一大队，1964年改称桥下大队，后改名南旗。2006年，经县政府批复，撤销村委会、设立社区，成立南旗社区居民委员会。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
社区内的水西林原称水西林，是明代太守林春泽的故里。林春泽宅、其长子与次子的宅第、林如楚宅等明清建筑沿街排列，合称水西林建筑群，于2013年列为第八批省级文物保护单位。[1][3][4]
林春泽宅为三进五开间的大宅，1989年列为县级文物保护单位，2013年随水西林古街入选福建省第八批文保单位。[4]
南屿福垆寺位于南旗村，俗称泰山堂，明永乐年间重建，清康熙六年扩建。[5]
荣誉[edit]
福建省爱国卫生运动委员会于2022年12月认定南旗社区为「2022年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
