地名由来[edit]
据博雅地名网，黄氏始祖于明永乐三年（1405年）随母亲陈氏迁居昙石山脚下，村因山得名。[1]
文化与名胜[edit]
昙石山遗址于2001年被列为第五批全国重点文物保护单位，1954年发现后经十次发掘，遗存距今约五千年。[2][3]
闽都民俗园位于村内学院路，占地约180亩，2011年投入使用。[4]
荣誉[edit]
2024年2月，昙石村被确定为「第二批福建省乡村振兴示范村镇」创建对象；2021年1月，被评定为「福州市乡村振兴中高级版试点村」；2012年10月，昙石村被司法部与民政部列入「第五批全国民主法治示范村（社区）」；2009年1月，昙石村入选「第二届全国文明村镇」名单。[1]
昙石村先后于2020年、2021年和2022年入选「淘宝村」名单。[1]
