甘蔗街道是福建省福州市闽侯县辖下的街道，位于福州西郊，是闽侯县城所在地，距福州市中心约20公里，境内有昙石山遗址等古迹。[1][4]

历史沿革[edit]

街道的名称来自旧时闽江中的两块沙洲。据闽侯县融媒体中心的一篇文章，此地古称榕洲或瀛洲，原为闽江冲积而成的洲地；河道变动后江水把它分成两部分，分称「柑洲」与「蔗洲」，之后泥沙淤积使两洲连成一体，人们取两洲的首字命名为柑蔗，后又谐音写作甘蔗。[2]

2005年，甘蔗镇撤销，设立甘蔗街道，原镇的行政区域整体归入街道。[1]

地理环境[edit]

街道位于闽江北岸，隔江与南岸的竹岐乡相望；东面和北面与荆溪镇接壤，西面与白沙镇毗邻。[1][3]

名胜古迹[edit]

街道内的昙石山遗址位于昙石村，1954年发现，是新石器时代晚期的遗址，经十次发掘，遗存距今约五千年。20世纪60年代，学界据此遗址命名了「昙石山文化」。遗址于2001年被列为第五批全国重点文物保护单位。[4][5]

闽都民俗园位于昙石村学院路，占地约180亩，2010年11月动工，2011年投入使用。园区以明清时期福州地区的农耕生活为主要展示内容，设有古民居、登高楼等建筑。[6]
