象屿村是猴屿乡下辖的行政村，位于闽江口南岸，乡境北部，隔江与马尾区亭江镇相望，东面与猴屿张村相接，南面与航城街道石龙村为邻。[2]

村民多为元末名将陈友定的后裔，村庄有侨乡背景，旅居海外的乡人较多。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村后山上有一块岩石形似大象，村名由此而来。[2]

人口[edit]

截至2024年，全村有310户、794人。2019年初的土地确权汇报则记为293户、679人。[1][2][4]

抗战与侨乡[edit]

抗战初期，全村不足90户时已有79名村民参军，这一比例在当时颇为罕见。参军的村民多数进入海军，在马尾练兵营集训后，有的上了军舰，有的编入布雷队。[5]

1938年10月，「中山舰」在长江的武昌金口水域与日军交战，村民陈永孝为掩护舰长牺牲。村中后来修建了抗战文化园，以纪念这段历史。[5]

荣誉[edit]

村庄曾被授予「全国忠义名村」称号。[1][5]

村庄在2022年被列为福州市乡村振兴五星级村。[1]

2023年12月，象屿村被认定为福州市2023年市级「一村一品」专业村，产业以乡村旅游为主。政府网站另称象屿村为乡村振兴高级版示范村。[2][3]

2024年6月，象屿村入选福建省第四批高级版绿盈乡村。[2]
