大宏村是潭头镇下辖的行政村，据博雅地名网，村子为潭头镇人民政府所在地。村南有鸿山，形如大鹏展翅；村西有筹峰山；北邻潭头村和霞江村；东邻厚东、曹朱两地。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

志书载，村子旧名钦平里，因唐代林慎思在宏词科考中名列第一，遂改名大宏，此名沿用至今。[2]

姓氏与宗族[edit]

村中姓氏以林、施、陈为主。唐永昌年间，林姓迁居鸿山，建有“鸿山草堂”。施氏宗祠的历史已有数百年。陈氏于明末由塘下迁入大宏店。[2]

华侨与侨乡[edit]

村中侨胞众多，是长乐的侨乡。海外乡亲捐资建成大宏华侨广场，广场前有“大鹏展翅”雕塑，主体建筑为七层高的礼堂，园中有兰桂园、音乐喷泉等设施。[2]

村中有莲花潭、鸿山崇圣寺、荣香寺和砭愚书院等古迹。[2]
