岱西村是潭头镇下辖的行政村，位于石屏山东侧，地处镇的西南部山区，四面环山。村中有六个自然村，依次为郑朱、水磨、田中、下厝、下连和柯朱。[1]

地名由来[edit]

村子坐落在牛背山偏西的山谷中，故名岱西。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

岱西先后称岱西生产大队（1958年）、复称岱西村（1984年），1986年起为岱西村委会，沿用至今。[1]

人物[edit]

法学家柯凌汉（1896～1985）字梅初，出生于岱西村。清光绪二十二年（1896年）生于此地，民国元年（1912年）考入福建私立法政专门学校攻读法律，毕业后由学校资助赴日本留学。[1]

产业[edit]

工业以针纺织为主，产品有窗帘布、蚊帐、花边等。农业以经济作物为主，种植白地瓜、芋头、生姜、甘蔗和水稻。[1]

古迹与名胜[edit]

村中留有明清时期的祠堂、古井、旧巷、旧牌坊等古建筑。名胜有将军岩、祥云寺、云蛇桥、岩碑壁。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2024年1月，岱西村被命名为「2023年福建省卫生村」。[1]
