江塘村是潭头镇下辖的行政村，村子东面临陈塘港，与阜山村相接；西邻厚东村，北与克凤村相连，南面靠近屿山。村庄距镇政府约7千米。[1][2]

地名与沿革[edit]

村子先民迁居此地时，附近多江边土塘，因称江塘自然村。1998年自克凤村分离后，正式定名江塘村。[3]

1949年前后，江塘属后福乡管辖；合作化后划归克凤大队。1998年分出，成为独立的江塘行政村，同年定名江塘村委会。[4]

姓氏[edit]

村中陈姓的远祖从江田迁至鹏陈，后分出大洋陈朱一支，再择居江塘。[2]

地理与古迹[edit]

河流湖泊环绕村庄，村中有数棵百年古榕，村民称之为“镇村之宝”，并列入福州市古榕重点保护名册。村中有两条桥和日月井等古迹。[2]

人物[edit]

明代江塘出过陈官清、陈三阳等进士，村中至今尚存旗杆石。[2]

农业与设施[edit]

村民主要种植早稻、花生、瓜果和蔬菜。村中新建礼堂一座，重建祖厅一座，还建有敬老院和思乡亭。[2]
