元岱村是潭头镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的东南部，靠近凤山。东临曹朱村，西与石马村相接，南接沙尾自然村，北连大宏村。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，村子位于大山的边缘，因此取名元岱。[1]

1949年前，元岱与大岩合为一个村，称大宏大队。1949年后元岱改为独立的行政村，1984年命名为元岱村委会，沿用至今。[1]

地理与风貌[edit]

村子右边是展翅状的凤山，左边的坡上有三棵古榕，前面有两口池塘。每到农历五月，数艘龙舟在前面的湖面上竞渡。[1]

寺庙[edit]

崇圣寺位于凤山下，宋建隆二年（961年）已建成。村中另有娘奶宫，内奉陈靖姑神像。[1]

村中居民以蔡、李、冯、林四姓为主，据称各姓和睦相处。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2021年11月，元岱村被福建省爱卫办授予「2021年福建省卫生村」称号。[1]
