碧岭村是潭头镇下辖的行政村，位于镇的南部，东与厚东村接壤，西与石马村交界，南邻岭南新街。村辖碧岭、沙尾、西湖3个自然村。[1][2]

地名由来[edit]

村名碧岭的一说是村子位于鸡头松尾山岭之前，山上深林碧绿，故得此名。另一说是村子原名碧峰，四周五座小山相隔，古时进出只有三条路，其中两条翻山越岭，因此将“碧峰”改称“碧（音爬）岭”。[1][2]

历史沿革[edit]

碧岭先后称碧岭乡、碧岭生产大队，1986年起以碧岭村委会的名称延续至今。[3]

宗族与古迹[edit]

碧岭林氏分为两支：凤井林氏属忠义林衍一派，由金峰镇凤井迁来；仙山林氏由金峰镇仙山街迁入。[2]

村中至今保存清代建造的宗祠和庙宇多座。[2]
