历史沿革[edit]
1960年从潭头大队分出，成立霞江大队，后改为霞江村委会，沿用至今。[1]
人物与宗族[edit]
村民多为开闽忠懿王的后裔。据称南宋宝祐年间（1255年），族人从平坑（今漳港）迁居菊潭，其中一支于此分居。[2]
咸丰年间，诏安守备王功在平定贼寇时殉职，朝廷诏准入祀忠义祠。[2]
公共设施[edit]
村中建有村级文化活动中心、鳖潭休闲公园和潭谷寺纪念堂，由村民、企业家和华侨捐资建成。[2]
