梅城社区是福建省福州市长乐区梅花镇的社区。它在长乐东北端、闽江口南侧的海边，对面是马祖列岛，镇政府就设在社区内。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
明清时期，此处属二十四都，是梅花城的城区。1949年后，这里设有镇公所。1961年由金峰公社划出，成立梅花人民公社，此处为梅花大队。1978年设为梅花镇第一分支。[1][2]
社区地名的来历：村子在古城西门一带，村委会也设在这里，故得此名。[1]
地理环境[edit]
社区背山面海，一侧是滩涂，另一侧是山林，古城墙和古建筑都在辖区之内。[1][2]
经济[edit]
社区以渔业为主，近海捕捞、滩涂养殖并举，辖区内还有几家水产冷冻和加工企业。[2]
名胜古迹[edit]
梅花古城墙、梅花乡约所和林位宫三处文物保护单位位于社区辖区内。[2]
「梅城弄笛」是吴航十二景之一：夜里海风穿过渔村的竹竿，响声如笛，又如龙吟，因此得名。[2]
荣誉[edit]
2015年2月，中央文明委决定授予社区「第四届全国文明村镇」称号。2021年11月，福建省爱卫办命名社区为「2021年福建省卫生社区」。[1]
